Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidate must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam. SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates are exempted from PRC submission.
Language Requirement
Candidates must be able to speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Employment Exchange
Registration with Assam Employment Exchange is mandatory.

- Sub Inspector: 20 – 26 Years
- Assistant Jailor: 21 – 40 Years
- Forest Guard / Grade III / IV: 18 – 40 Years

Educational Qualification
- Constable (UB): H.S. (10+2) Passed
- Constable (AB): HSLC (Class 10) Passed
- Sub Inspector & Assistant Jailor: Graduate in any discipline
- Fireman & Emergency Rescuer: H.S. (Science)
- Forest Guard: H.S. (10+2)
- Grade IV: Class VIII Passed + Skill Certificate
