Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship

The applicant must be a citizen of India.

Residentship

Candidates applying for Government Nursing Institutes of Assam must possess a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 17 years as on 31 December 2026
Maximum Age: 35 years

Gender Eligibility

Male candidates are not eligible for admission in Government Nursing Institutes of Assam. However, private institutes may allow male candidates.

Medical Fitness

Candidates must be medically fit to pursue the nursing course.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Science stream.
Candidates must secure at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology combined.
English must be a compulsory subject in Class 12.
Students from State Open School or NIOS with Science subjects and English are also eligible.

Application Fee

The entrance examination fee must be paid through online payment gateway available on the SSUHS website.

The fee details will be announced officially.
Candidates belonging to PwD category (40% disability and above) are exempted from the examination fee.

Assam HS Result 2026: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - II (formerly known as AHSEC) has successfully conducted the Higher Secondary (HS) Final Examination 2026. Students who appeared in the Class 12 board exams can check their results online from 28th April 2026.

As per the official update shared by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the HS results will be declared on 28 April 2026. Candidates from all streams – Arts, Commerce, Science, and Vocational – will be able to access their marksheets online.

HSLC Recheck Form 2026 – Apply Online for Answer Script Rechecking

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - I has officially released the HSLC Recheck Form 2026 after declaring the HSLC Result 2026. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can now apply online for answer script rechecking through the official portal.

The HSLC Examination 2026 was conducted from 10th February to 27th February 2026, and the result was declared on 10th April 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for rechecking starting from 13th April 2026.
