Overview of SBI CBO Recruitment 2025

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Age Limit: 21 to 30 years as on 30.04.2025 (Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per rules).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience (as on 30.04.2025) as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank.

Update for North Eastern Circles (Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh)

Candidates from North Eastern Circles can now apply even if they studied English as a subject in Class 10 or 12 instead of the local language, provided they can produce proof via mark sheets.

Selection Process

1. Online Written Test: Objective Test (120 marks) + Descriptive Test (50 marks)
2. Screening: Shortlisting based on experience and profile.
3. Interview: 50 marks (weightage of 25% in final selection)
4. Language Test: Only applicable for certain circles; proof of language proficiency needed if selected.

Exam Pattern

1. Objective Test (2 hours)

• English Language – 30 questions
• Banking Knowledge – 40 questions
• General Awareness/Economy – 30 questions
• Computer Aptitude – 20 questions

2. Descriptive Test (30 mins)

• Letter Writing – 1 question
• Essay – 1 question

• General/EWS/OBC: ₹750
• SC/ST/PwBD: Nil

Salary

Initial basic pay is ₹48,480/- in the scale of JMGS-I. Two advance increments will be given for candidates with 2 years' prior officer-level experience.
