For this purpose, an entrance examination - GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE), 2025 will be conducted.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam GNM Admission
Gender: Only Female candidates may apply for these courses.
Citizenship: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for GNMEE 2024
Residentship: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam and must submit a certificate in this regard.
Exception of PRC Certificate: The provision of the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) shall not be applicable to the wife/ daughter of the employees of Govt. of Assam.
Age Limit: Candidates age must between 17 years to 35 years old by 31st December 2025, and the maximum age for admission is 35 years. There is no age limit for ANM/LHV.
Age Relaxation: In the case of SC/ST candidates, upper age relaxation will be as per Govt. norms.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess any one of the following educational qualifications to be eligible for GNM admission:
Candidates must possess anyone of the following educational qualification to be eligible for getting admitted to GNM course.
a. 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable. Three (core elective) subject marks may be taken for calculating the percentage of marks excluding the marks in English. Also, it has to be ensured the candidate has pass marks in English.
b. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the schools recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
c. 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre.
d. Registered ANM with pass marks.
Physical Fitness: Students must be medically fit.
Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
PRC: Permanent Resident Certificate is mandatory for admission in the Govt. Institutes of Assam.
