Nationality
Applicants must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire (DR Congo), Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates belonging to eligible categories requiring a Certificate of Eligibility must possess one issued by the Government of India. Gorkha subjects of Nepal are exempted from this requirement.

- Date of Birth: Candidates should be born between 1 April 2000 and 31 March 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
SSC (Tech) Men & Women
- Candidates must have completed a BE/B.Tech Engineering Degree in the relevant discipline.
- Final-year engineering students are also eligible to apply.
- Final-year candidates must submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree along with all semester mark sheets by 1 April 2027.
- The Engineering Degree Certificate must be produced within 12 weeks from the commencement of training.

- SSCW (Tech): BE/B.Tech in any relevant engineering discipline.
- SSCW (Non-Tech): Graduation in any discipline.
