IOCL Nursing Admission 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
GNM Nursing Eligibility
For admission to the GNM course, candidates must fulfil the educational and other eligibility conditions prescribed by IOCL. Candidates applying through the GNM route should have a valid GNMEE-2026 score and must submit the required details and documents during online registration.
Candidates who meet the prescribed qualifying requirements of the State Nursing Registration Council may be considered eligible. SC and ST candidates are entitled to the applicable relaxation in qualifying marks as per the prescribed Indian Nursing Council norms.
B.Sc Nursing Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc Nursing must have passed 10+2 with Science and secured at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. The required aggregate is 40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates.
English is compulsory, and candidates must pass the Theory and Practical examinations separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Candidates who have completed their qualifying education through a State Open School or the National Institute of Open Schooling with Science and English may also be eligible for B.Sc Nursing.
Colour-blind candidates may apply if they use colour-corrective contact lenses or spectacles, subject to the applicable medical requirements.
Common Eligibility Conditions
- Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
- Married candidates are eligible, subject to the prescribed conditions.
- Candidates must be medically fit.
- Candidates holding higher professional qualifications such as B.E., B.Tech, MBA, CA, CS, CMA, LLB, MCA or PhD are not eligible.
- Possession of an equivalent higher professional qualification at the time of joining may result in cancellation of admission.
IOCL Nursing Admission 2026 – Age Limit
The minimum age for admission is 17 years as on 31 December 2026, while the general upper age limit is 35 years.
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit.
- OBC-NCL: 3 years relaxation in the upper age limit.
- Registered ANM candidates applying for GNM: No upper-age bar.
- PwBD candidates applying for B.Sc Nursing: 5 years upper-age relaxation irrespective of seat reservation.
Only the Class 10 marksheet or certificate issued by a recognised Board of Secondary Education will be accepted as proof of date of birth.

Selected students will receive free hostel accommodation, uniform and medical attention at AOD Hospital during the course. Staying in the nursing hostel is compulsory for selected candidates.
Internship After Nursing Course
After successfully completing the course, candidates are required to undergo a one-year working internship at AOD Hospital or another Indian Oil hospital. IOCL may extend the internship period by up to two additional years.
- B.Sc Nursing internship stipend at AOD Hospital: ₹16,250 per month
- GNM internship stipend at AOD Hospital: ₹15,250 per month
- Additional stipend: ₹1,000 per month when posted at another Indian Oil hospital
Important: Accommodation is not provided during the internship period. Completion of the course or internship does not create any obligation on Indian Oil to offer regular employment.

The income certificate must be issued by a competent Revenue Authority not below the rank of Circle Revenue Inspector or another authorised officer. It should mention the gross joint annual income of the candidate's family from all sources. An affidavit will not be accepted as income proof.
