The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam, has officially released a recruitment notification for 59 Special Educator vacancies in different Provincialised Secondary Schools across Assam. This recruitment is being conducted in compliance with the Right to Education Act, 2009 and as per the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directions.

Vacancy & Reservation

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate or Postgraduate with at least 50% marks in either degree.
B.Ed. (Special Education) from RCI recognized institute.
Only degrees from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL (GU), and Dibrugarh University accepted for distance mode.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)

UR: 18–40 years
OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
PWD: up to 50 years

Selection Process

TET cum Recruitment Test (140 Marks): Pedagogy – 50; Assam & People – 35; Maths – 15; English – 30; GS & Current Affairs – 10
Weightage: NCC / Sports / Fine Arts / Cultural (5 marks max); HS TET passed but not appointed (5% marks)
