What is the Employment Exchange?
The Employment Exchange is a government initiative that assists job seekers in finding suitable employment opportunities. By registering, candidates become part of a database that employers can access to fill vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria
To register with the Employment Exchange in Assam, applicants must:

Be Indian citizens above 14 years of age.

Be permanent residents of Assam.

Register in only one Employment Exchange within their district of residence.

If already employed and seeking better opportunities, provide a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from the current employer.
Required Documents
Ensure you have the following documents ready:

Age Proof: Birth Certificate, HSLC Admit Card, or School Certificate.

Proof of Residency: AADHAAR Card with a permanent Assam address, Driving License, Chitha/Jamabandi copy, Passport, or Electoral Roll/EPIC.

Educational Qualification Certificates: Pass Certificates and Mark Sheets.

Caste Certificate: For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/EWS categories.

Disability Certificate: If applicable, issued by a competent authority.

Experience Certificate: If previously employed.

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate: For OBC/MOBC-NCL candidates.

Undertaking from Parents/Legal Guardian: For applicants below 18 years of age.

Valid Mobile Number and Email ID.
Registration Process
Option 1: Aadhaar-Based Online Registration (Recommended)

Visit the Sewa Setu Portal.

Choose "Apply with Aadhaar."

Fill in the required details and upload scanned copies of the necessary documents.

Submit the application.

Upon successful submission, an Employment Exchange Card (X-10) will be sent to your registered email.
Option 2: Non-Aadhaar Based Registration
Applicable for candidates whose Aadhaar cards are blocked due to NRC-related issues.Sewa Setu

Visit the nearest Employment Exchange office.

Collect and fill out the registration form.

Submit the form along with original and photocopies of the required documents.

After verification, the Employment Exchange Card will be issued.
Renewal of Registration

Registrants must renew their registration every three years in the due month indicated on their Registration Card.

A grace period of three months is provided. Failure to renew within this period will lead to cancellation of the registration.

No requests for renewal will be entertained after the expiry of the due month and grace period.
