Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a huge employment notification for the recruitment of 8860 Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) posts under Indian Railways. The vacancies include 5810 Graduate Level posts and 3050 Under Graduate Level posts across various RRB zones through CEN 06/2025 and CEN 07/2025. RRB NTPC Recruitment 2025 Details
1. Graduate Level Posts
- Name of posts: Station Master, Goods Train Manager, Traffic Assistant, Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist
- No of posts: 5800
- Pay Level: Level 4, 5, 6 (as per 7th CPC)
- Age Limit: 18 to 33 years as on 01.01.2026
- Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
2. Under Graduate Level Posts
- Name of posts: Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Account Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk
- No of posts: 3050
- Pay Level: Level 2, 3 (as per 7th CPC)
- Age Limit: 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2026
- Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. (50% marks not required for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen or higher qualification holders)

Selection Process of RRB NTPC 2025
The selection will be done through multiple stages as mentioned below:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Typing Skill Test / Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable)
- Document Verification & Medical Examination
1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Total Questions: 100
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Marks: 100
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer
Subjects Covered: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness
2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Total Questions: 120
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Marks: 120
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
Only for candidates opting for Station Master post. Candidates must secure a minimum T-score of 42 marks in each test battery. No relaxation is allowed in minimum marks.
Typing Skill Test (TST)
For Clerk and Typist posts. Candidates must type 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on a personal computer without editing tools or spell check facility.
Document Verification (DV)
Candidates will be called for Document Verification based on merit and availability of posts. Final appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification of certificates.
