1. Nationality & Domicile


The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam. A valid PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) issued in Assam or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate is mandatory.


2. Educational Qualification


  • Minimum: Class VIII passed
  • Maximum: HSSLC (Class 12) passed

Important: Candidates possessing higher qualifications than Class 12 will not be eligible to apply.


3. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

The selection will be conducted in two phases:

  • Science – 10 marks
  • Elementary English – 10 marks

The last date to submit online applications is 9th October 2025. Fee payment deadline is 11th October 2025.

Minimum qualification is Class VIII pass and maximum eligible qualification is HSSLC (Class 12). Candidates with qualifications higher than Class 12 are not eligible.

The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Age Limit

4. Physical Standards

  • Height: Minimum 170 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for certain categories)

Selection Process


The selection will be conducted in multiple stages:

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE):

    • Objective type, 100 questions, 100 marks, 90 minutes.

    • Subjects include:

      • General Awareness (20 questions)

      • General Intelligence (20 questions)

      • Numerical Ability (10 questions)

      • Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules & Pollution (50 questions)
