UPSC NDA II 2026 Notification Out – Apply Online for 394 Army, Navy & Air Force Posts

Applications are invited for Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 11th December 2024 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 370 posts and for the 36 posts of  Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) . Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here.





The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the notification for the NDA & NA II Examination 2026 for admission into the Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. A total of 394 vacancies have been announced. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online applications till 9 June 2026.

Candidates who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 can apply online through the official UPSC portal. The written examination is scheduled to be conducted on 13 September 2026.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed or appeared in the 12th standard examination.
  • For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy wings, candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics in Class 12.
  • For Army Wing, candidates from any stream can apply.

UPSC NDA II 2026 Exam Pattern

The selection process consists of a written examination followed by the SSB Interview.

There is a negative marking of 0.33 marks for every incorrect answer in the objective-type papers. Question papers for Mathematics and Part-B of GAT will be available in both English and Hindi.

UPSC NDA II 2026 Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

  • Written Examination
  • SSB Interview
  • Medical Examination
  • Final Merit List

The SSB Interview is conducted in two stages. Stage-I includes the Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception & Description Test. Candidates qualifying Stage-I proceed to Stage-II, which includes psychological tests, group tasks, interviews and conference rounds.

Candidates applying for the Air Force flying branch must also qualify the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS).

How to Apply for UPSC NDA II 2026?

  1. Visit the official UPSC online application portal.
  2. Create an account and complete the Universal Registration (URN).
  3. Fill in the Common Application Form (CAF).
  4. Upload photograph, signature and live photo as instructed.
  5. Select NDA II 2026 examination and choose your preferred services and exam centre.
  6. Pay the application fee online through UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking.
  7. Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Candidates should carefully verify all details before final submission because correction or withdrawal of the application will not be allowed after submission.
