Salary, Allowances & Benefits


  • Basic Pay (Level-4): ₹25,500 – ₹81,100
  • Special Security Allowance (SSA): 20% of basic pay, in addition to regular Central Govt allowances
  • Holiday Duty Compensation: Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays (up to 30 days ceiling)

This pay structure, coupled with SSA and admissible allowances, makes the in-hand compensation attractive for a Group-C post.

Eligibility Criteria


Educational Qualification (any one):

  1. Diploma in Engineering in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Applications from a Govt-recognized University/Institute; OR
  2. B.Sc. (Science) with Electronics / Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics from a Govt-recognized University/Institute; OR
  3. BCA from a Govt-recognized University/Institute.

Age Limit


  • 18 – 27 years (as on closing date).
  • Relaxations: SC/ST +5 yrs; OBC +3 yrs; Departmental candidates up to 40 yrs (Central Govt civilian employees); Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated Women: up to 35 yrs (UR), 38 yrs (OBC), 40 yrs (SC/ST); Ex-servicemen/Meritorious Sportspersons as per rules.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern


The recruitment will be conducted in three tiers. Final merit will be based on combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III.

Applicants can choose five (5) preferred cities for the online Tier-I exam from a wide national list covering all states/UTs (e.g., Delhi/NCR, Mumbai/MMR, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Lucknow, Patna, Chandigarh/Mohali, Guwahati, Imphal, Leh, etc.). Allocation may change based on administrative feasibility; Tier-II/III may be clubbed at select cities.
