JEE Main 2026 – Apply Online for Joint Entrance Examination (Main)



National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the notification for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply online for admission to B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan courses offered by NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded institutions across India.


About JEE Main 2026


The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is one of the most prestigious national-level entrance exams in India conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is held twice a year – in January and April – and serves as an eligibility test for JEE Advanced for admission into IITs.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2026

Age Limit:

There is no age limit for appearing in the JEE Main 2026 examination. Candidates who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2024, 2025 or are appearing in 2026 can apply.

However, candidates must check the specific age requirements of the institutions they wish to join.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026. Those who passed in 2023 or earlier are not eligible.

State of Eligibility:

The State Code of Eligibility refers to the state from which the candidate has passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) qualifying examination. It does not depend on the place of residence or native place.

Example: A student appearing for Class 12 from a school in Delhi but residing in Noida (UP) will have Delhi as their state code of eligibility.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2026?


Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by following the steps below:

  2. Click on the Online Application Form link.
  3. Register yourself using a valid email ID and mobile number.
  4. Login and fill in all required personal and academic details.
  5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and necessary documents.
  6. Pay the application fee online as per your category.
  7. Submit the form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

  • Starting Date of Online Application: 31st October 2025
  • Last Date of Application: 27th November 2025
  • Exam Dates: 21st – 30th January 2026
  • Result Declaration: By 12th February 2026
